Our Story
Founded in 2020 with the commencement of the Suburban Districts competition saw four teams join together to form what is now known as Maryland Fletcher Cricket Club. In 2021 we added our first junior teams and now proudly have four junior teams, four seniors teams and host the Woolworths Cricket Blast Program.

Our fun, fast-paced program is the perfect first step for kids aged 5–10 to learn the game. With easy-to-follow activities, lots of action, and a focus on fun, Woolworths Cricket Blast helps children develop skills, make friends, and fall in love with cricket. Maryland Fletcher Cricket Club proudly runs Blast sessions right here in our community – giving every child the chance to play, grow, and belong.
Junior Cricket
For kids ready to move beyond Woolworths Cricket Blast, Maryland Fletcher Cricket Club offers competitive junior cricket from Under 9s and up. With a focus on skill development, teamwork, and having fun, our juniors learn the game in a supportive environment while representing their community. It’s the perfect pathway for young players to grow their cricket journey.
Senior Cricket
Maryland Fletcher Cricket Club proudly competes in the Newcastle & District Cricket Association’s Suburban Districts competition, with teams ranging from Division 1 through to Division 8. Whether you’re chasing top-level competition or looking for a more social game, there’s a team for every player. Our seniors enjoy the perfect mix of competitive cricket, mateship, and community spirit – both on and off the field.
